Welcome to the  Tulsa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. website. We are proud to have been part of the Tulsa community for over 90 years and continue to be dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust. The Tulsa Alumnae chapter strives to be a leader in the local community by implementing our sorority’s national and global initiatives.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.

Omicron Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was organized on April 30, 1930 at the home of Mary Smith Buford, located a few miles west of Tulsa.


Tulsa Alumnae’s membership comes from diverse backgrounds. Members work diligently to carry out the goals established by the Grand Chapter.

Scholarship Application

The Tulsa Alumnae Chapter in collaborative partnership with Tulsa S.T.E.P.S. Foundation, Inc. is pleased with your decision to complete its application for the pilot project for the Tulsa Alumnae’s President’s Scholarship award.

The Tulsa Alumnae Chapter serves the City of Tulsa and all metro area communities including Bartlesville, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Sand Springs, and Owasso and the Counties of Tulsa, Rogers, Osage, Washington, Creek, Wagoner, and other corresponding counties.

Tulsa Alumnae Chapter extends scholarship awards as part of its community service program. We are proud to have continued this activity for over 65 years in the Tulsa community. Scholarships are awarded to college-bound high school seniors based on scholastic achievement(s), and community involvement. As we are unable to meet the needs of every student who applies, certain information must be included with the application form for evaluation.  Please be assured all information received by our chapter is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with any other organization or legal entity.

All information must be sent via US mail (not hand-delivered) to the address referenced within the scholarship application and must be postmarked no later than May 17, 2024All applicants will be notified via US mail of award results, postmarked no later than
June 1, 2024.
