Delta Academy

Delta Academy was formed to enhance the future of our African American girls. The program is aimed at adolescent girls aged 11-14 and/or grades 6th-8th.

The Delta Academy seeks to remedy some of society’s deficiencies as they pertain to Black girls and offers supervised and structured experiences that will help participants grow to be productive citizens with high self-esteem and an appreciation for the demand of an increasingly Generation Z-focused society.

The program focuses on the following:

  • Academic growth
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Involvement in community action and social change
  • Introducing non-traditional STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers

Paint The Town Red

Paint the Town Red is the organization’s signature event that raises money for various charitable activities in the community. This event is held annually in November. This event offers a fun night of dinner and dance while raising money for the community.

Read and Rise Program

The Cradle-To-College Read & Rise Program was implemented by the Tulsa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority in conjunction with Rudisill Library and the Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League. The program facilitates a reading-mentor program for families of pre-school age children in the Tulsa community.
